Press Release: Hamilton’s 30,000 Muslims to Celebrate Eid ul Adha on Thursday, September 24, 2015

Here are few important details:

Prayer Times:

Mountain Mosque:

  • First Prayer: 7:30am Takbeerat, 7:45am Prayers
  • Second Prayer: 9:15am Takbeerat, 9:30am Prayers

Umar Mosque:

  • First Prayer: 7:45am Takbeerat, 8:00am Prayers
  • Second Prayer: 9:15am Takbeerat, 9:30am Prayers

Parking Details (Mountain Mosque)

First Prayer:

  • Mountain Mosque parking lot, Leon’s Furniture, Carmen’s Banquet Centre (please do not park in Hotel parking lot)
  • Along Anchor & Arbour Rd (From 7:00am to 12pm). Please obey all traffic laws, e.g. do not block driveways, fire hydrants, bus stops etc.

Second Prayer (Parking is very limited):

  • Mountain Mosque parking lot, Carmen’s Banquet Centre (please do not park in Hotel parking lot)
  • Along Anchor & Arbour Rd (From 7:00am to 12pm). Please obey all traffic laws, e.g. do not block driveways, fire hydrants, bus stops etc.

Note: There is absolutely no parking allowed in the Splittsville Bowling Complex (across from Carmen’s on Stone Church Rd) or the small parking lot on Anchor Rd (across from Carmen’s/C Hotel)

Sisters’ prayer accessibility

The prayer room at the rear of the main prayer hall is available for women who have difficulty climbing stairs. Please enter through the East entrance to access this room.

There is also extra prayer space available in the ISH Auditorium for Sisters, and the Community Centre for Brothers.

Qurbani/Udhiya Distribution

This year Qurbani meat can be dropped off at the Masjid on Thursday Sept. 24 & Friday Sept. 25. There will be a freezer placed just outside the main Masjid entrance. Please place meat in that freezer.

All meat (and food) will be distributed to families in the Hamilton area through Baraka Box food bank. Distribution takes place on the first Saturday of each month, at the Hamilton Mountain Mosque.
