New Mosque Project

I want to personally thank you for your interest, consideration and contribution towards building the New Mosque and community centre in Hamilton.

The Muslim Association of Hamilton (MAH) has humbly served the Muslim community in Hamilton for over 40 years. The growing community and the popularity of relevant services provided have meant the MAH has outgrown its current facilities. Thus, the idea for the New Mosque and Community Centre Project was born. This will accommodate our increasing community, but also will ensure adequate space and resources for our generations to come-Insha-Allah.

For us a Mosque is a place where we worship Allah SWT collectively and individually. It is a real sign of the Muslim presence. It brings us together irrespective of our race, color, language or culture. It glues us together as a people with one identity. It is a place for our activities; for our children, our youth and our seniors. It is a place where we celebrate and a place where we will be taken to for our last rites.

A Mosque is a place of learning, be it basic or advanced, spiritual or worldly. It is a milieu where the spirit is solaced, character is crystallized and our identity marked. It is a place that a thirsty soul would seek to quench its thirst and where a teenager could come to seek a viable Islamic social outlet. The Mosque is a symbol of a living Muslim community and a focal point for anyone seeking guidance.

We would indeed be the fortunate ones on the Day of Judgement when we would be seeking His Shade, and when we are counted in the category of those whose heart is attached to the Mosque. May Allah SWT accept our efforts.

The accomplishments to date have been possible with generous help of people like you. Help us further to attain this goal and help us to complete this project.

It is Allah SWT’s promise that wealth does not decrease when you donate for his cause.

Jazakallah Khairan.
